Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN): Application Process

Applicant Qualifications

All applicants to the RN to BSN program must meet the following qualifications:

  • Have an R.N. Licensure within the USA before taking any B.S.N. level clinical nursing courses.
  • Be admitted to BYU-Idaho.

Applicants will be evaluated on:

  • Completeness of Nursing Application
  • Work experience in nursing
  • Meeting university GE/Foundation requirements
  • GPA

Please note: BYU-Idaho may not accept transfer credits from non-accredited institutions and programs. This would increase the number of General Education / Foundations courses required to obtain a baccalaureate degree. Contact the Health Professions Advising Office at 208-496-2348 if you have questions. If transferring credits, it is the student's responsibility to ensure that courses taken are equivalent and transferrable. Contact the BYU-Idaho Student Records Office (208-496-1001) to review the courses in question.
