Andy Bradbury has been appointed as the new medical director of the Brigham Young University-Idaho Student Health Center. He replaced former medical director Jud Miller, who retired after 17 years of employment at BYU-Idaho.

Prior to his employment at BYU-Idaho, Bradbury was the chairman of emergency medicine at Portneuf Medical Center in Pocatello and continues to serve as state surgeon for the Idaho Army National Guard. Bradbury, originally from Williamstown, Mass., received his bachelor's in physics from Swarthmore College and then attended Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Penn. Bradbury also studied family medicine in Bryn Mawr, Penn., and later received additional certification in emergency medicine.

"Having a background in emergency medicine has prepared me for this position. Students at BYU-Idaho have traveled all over the world and come to the Health Center with some very interesting cases," said Bradbury. "Working with students and employees on this campus is rewarding because they all have interesting stories and goals in life."
