Brigham Young University-Idaho's Spori Art Gallery will host an exhibit featuring the artwork of Artists with a Common Thread, a quilting organization based in Idaho Falls, from May 28-June 25. An opening reception will be held Thursday, May 27 from 7-9 p.m. in the gallery.

Erin Quinton, gallery assistant, said the exhibit will feature several different styles of quilts. "Members of Artists with a Common Thread use textiles and a variety of techniques to create original and diverse works of art, intended to allow the viewers to see the art of quilting," she said.

The BYU-Idaho Spori Art Gallery is located on the first floor of the Jacob Spori Building and is open Monday-Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m., and Saturday, noon-8 p.m. Guided tours will be given every Thursday during the month of June at 2 and 2:30 p.m. Community members and visitors are welcome during gallery hours or by appointment. Admission is free.
