The Department of Horticulture at Brigham Young University-Idaho presents the 25th Annual Spring Flower and Bridal Open House to be held Saturday, March 10, from 12 to 4 p.m. in the Ezra Taft Benson Building.
Members of the community are encouraged to come and view student-created presentations in floral and landscape design as well as greenhouse plants and products. There will be six different event themes, a design studio, and a display of bouquets and floral creations.
The Department of Horticulture is the main sponsor of the open house, partnering with student entities from different disciplines to bring a variety of learning and exposure to color trends and varieties of flowers and plants to the public.
"We seek to attract all members of the student body and community members to come get a breath of springtime during a time of year when most of us are a bit tired of the gray," said Ben Romney, Department of Horticulture chair. "We all could use an infusion of color with inspirational artistic creativity."
Tickets are $5 and may be purchased from the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office by calling 496-3170, online at www.byui.edu/tickets or at the door. Due to a limit of online sales, groups of 10 or more should e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
