"We are not bound by tradition, nor are we limited to our own understanding or to the wisdom of men. In short, this is a very unusual university."

New age pianist Paul Cardall to perform at BYU-Idaho
"An Evening with Paul Cardall" will be presented at Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg Saturday, Jan. 6, at 7:30 p.m. in the Kirkham Auditorium as part of the Center Stage Performing Arts Series.
Tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for BYU-Idaho students and can be purchased at the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office, by calling 496-2230 or online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
In 1995, the new age pianist recorded his first album entitled "Sign of Affection." A copy of this home-pressed album made its way to #1 New York Times best-selling author Richard Paul Evans, writer of "The Christmas Box." He invited Cardall to create a musical adaptation of the book. The resulting album sold more than 50,000 copies its first year.
Since then Cardall's career has soared. He debuted a new album entitled "The Looking Glass." In December 1999 both records were listed on Billboard Top 25 New Age Charts. The Chicago Sun Times called Cardall "wonderfully moving and inspiring!"
Since then, he has released several albums including "Hymns," "Hymns II," "Daily Devotions," "Miracles, A Journey of Hope and Healing" and "Faithful."
In September 2005 Cardall released a new CD called "Primary Worship" inspired by the innocence and spiritual development of childhood.
