"We are not bound by tradition, nor are we limited to our own understanding or to the wisdom of men. In short, this is a very unusual university."

"1964 The Tribute" to perform at BYU-Idaho
Considered by many to be the number one Beatles music show in the world, "1964 The Tribute" is returning to the Hart Auditorium at Brigham Young University-Idaho on Saturday, July 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Sponsored by the Center Stage Performing Arts Series, tickets are $10 for the general public and $5 for BYU-Idaho
students. They can be purchased from the BYU-Idaho Ticket Office in the Manwaring Center, over the phone at 496-2230 or online at www.byui.edu/tickets.
With authentic stage gear, suits, mop tops, and a performance full of number one hits, "1964" has been performing early Beatles music for more than 20 years. The group started out studying film and old TV shows and eventually perfected everything from the songs to mannerisms to accents. 1964 sold out Carnegie Hall three times and was featured in Rolling Stone Magazine as the No.1 Beatles tribute on the planet.
But "1964" does more than just play Beatles songs. They play the songs the way everyone remembers them - like the record - and they perform up to 90 minutes of electrifying songs from love ballads like "And I Love Her" and "If I Fell" to high energy hits such as "She Loves You" and "Twist and Shout."
The Tribute has shared the stage with many legendary performers: Little Richard, Jerry Lee Lewis, The Monkees, Chubby Checker, The Association, B.J. Thomas, Johnny Rivers and many more.
A favorite of BYU-Idaho audiences, "1964" is back for the fifth time by popular demand.
