Arrival Checklist

The Arrival Checklist contains the necessary steps you need to take during Move-in Day, Get Connected and the start of your first semester.


Email is the official method of communication at BYU-Idaho, and you are responsible for the information sent to your BYU-Idaho email account. Frequently login to, click on your email tab and read your emails. You will receive the following emails on a regular basis from the university.

Friday New Student Update contains information specific to the newly admitted students.
Tuesday Student Advisory contains important information including academic and financial aid deadlines, fee disclosures and university policies.
Thursday The Feed contains promotional information about campus happenings.

Student Ambassadors

As a new student you will be assigned a Student Ambassador who will:

  • Guide you through the New Student Checklist
  • Answer your questions
  • Direct you to campus services and resources
