Collegiate Singers
Collegiate Singers, conducted by Dr. Randall Kempton, is one of the premier off-campus performing choirs at Brigham Young University-Idaho. Comprised of 40-50 of some of the finest singer/musicians on campus, this group gives both singers and audience members an exciting experience with a wide variety of musical styles and periods. Collegiate Singers generally tours every other year in addition to many on- and off-campus performances. As part of the 2008-2009 experience, the Collegiate Singers toured Alaska, sang in the Priesthood Session of April General Conference, and served as the chorus in the summer opera (Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas). Additional performance events included Handel’s Messiah with the Baroque Ensemble, the Duruflé Requiem with Symphony Orchestra, and the Spring, Fall and Winter Choirfests.
Concurrent enrollment in voice lessons is strongly recommended. Acceptance is by audition and/or permission of the instructor. .
