Ensemble Audition Information (Choral)

 

Auditions for Collegiate Singers, Men's Choir, and Women's Choir for Spring Semester 2010 will be held April 19-20, in the Eliza R. Snow Building. Sign-up sheets will be available on those days in the hallway outside of rooms 282B and C. Students should plan to audition at the earliest available time. Auditions for the Fall semester choirs will be held September 7-8, 2010.

Applicants for Collegiate Singers or Women's Choir should prepare a 90-second vocal selection demonstrating their best range and technique in a "classical" style. Those auditioning for Men's Choir should be prepared to sing a hymn selected by the director. Applicants for all auditioned ensembles may be asked to sing scales and other music drills to demonstrate range, experience and expertise. An accompanist will be available but students are encouraged to provide their own.
Participants interested in auditioning for Vocal Union have additionalrequirements .

Please note, participation in University Choir and Women's Glee does not require an audition. Space is limited, however, and those interested should register as early as possible.
