Students studying in the BYU-Idaho Brass Department receive thorough preparation in performance areas such as band, orchestra, jazz ensemble and chamber ensembles in both classical and jazz. Performance opportunities are many and include concerts in the Barrus Concert Hall, other areas on campus, public schools, the Rexburg community and performance tours across the country. At BYU-I, students are taught by a full time-specialist on each of the brass instruments. Music majors and minors attend a weekly one-on-one private lesson with their instructor as well as a master-class or group lesson. Please don't hesitate to contact any of our faculty members directly if you have any questions.
