Dr. Jon Linford attended Ricks College and received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Brigham Young University and a doctorate from Arizona State University. At BYU-Idaho he currently serves as Associate Dean of the College of Visual and Performing Arts and Coordinator of the Voice Area, and teaches applied voice, opera workshop, vocal pedagogy, and Humanities Foundations. Before arriving at BYU-Idaho he taught private voice at Scottsdale Community College, and was Professor of Voice and Opera at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces for 17 years. He is an operatic baritone, and has performed numerous operatic and oratorio roles throughout the United States and Europe.
