Dr. Randall Kempton (M.M. Brigham Young University, D.M.A. Arizona State University) came to BYU-Idaho in 1999 and currently serves as Director of Choral Activities and conductor of the Collegiate Singers. He teaches private voice, diction, conducting, arranging, and choral methods courses, and has directed the University Choir, Men's Choir, and Women's Choir. Prior to his arrival in Rexburg, he conducted ensembles at Arizona State University, Brigham Young University, Utah Valley State College, and the Meridian School in Provo, Utah. His professional experience includes work as a pianist, vocal coach, and vocalist in classical, jazz, and musical theater settings. He studied conducting and arranging with Mack Wilberg and Ron Staheli.
