Organ Instruction

There are two ways to study organ at BYU-Idaho: the group class and individual studio instruction (known as "Applied Music Lessons").
Group organ instruction (Music 106) is offered for beginning organ students each semester for credit.

Students may enroll in applied organ lessons for credit.
There are four options for private lessons:

  • simply enroll in Music 158B for individual instruction in organ as non-music majors.
  • students can study organ as part of a music cluster.
  • students can minor in music with an emphasis in organ.
  • students can earn the Bachelor of Musical Arts degree with a major in Organ.

Scholarship assistance is available.
