Ensemble Audition Information (Choral)

Auditions for Collegiate Singers, Men's Choir, and Women's Choir for Winter Semester 2009 will be held Monday and Tuesday, January 5 and 6. Sign-up sheets will be available on those days in the Main Lobby of the Snow Building. Students should plan to audition at the earliest available time.

Applicants for Collegiate Singers or Women's Choir should prepare a 90-second vocal selection demonstrating their best range and technique in a "classical" style. Those auditioning for Men's Choir should be prepared to sing a hymn selected by the director. Applicants for all auditioned ensembles may be asked to sing scales and other music drills to demonstrate range, experience and expertise. An accompanist will be available but students are encouraged to provide their own.

Auditions for Summer Semester 2009 will be held Saturday and Monday, April 18 and 20, 2009.

Please note, participation in University Choir and Women's Glee does not require an audition. Space is limited, however, and those interested should register as early as possible.
