All mechanical and civil engineering degree-seeking students are required to take the engineering entrance exam. The exam requirements and registration instructions are provided below.

All civil and mechanical engineering students are required to pass the engineering entrance exam. The exam will test a student's understanding of statics and strength of materials. Students may take the exam once they have completed ME 201 and ME 202 courses. Students enrolled in ME 250 will automatically be enrolled to take the exam.

The exam is offered during the first two weeks of each semester. Students are allowed two attempts to pass the exam. Students who fail both attempts will be required to complete and extensive remediation process before being allowed a third attempt.

The entrance exam is a computer-based exam taken in the Testing Center. The exam is closed book and closed notes. Reference material will be provided during the exam. Upon signing up for the exam, the reference materials and study materials are provided through I-Learn.
