Carol Wise is from Oakdale, California. She graduated with her Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics Education from BYU-Idaho in 2010, and her Master’s degree in the same content area from BYU in 2015. She researches issues of student status and positioning. She is particularly interested in how those issues affect the way students learn and teachers teach. In addition to teaching for the Math Department, Carol also teaches developmental math for the academic support center. She has a special connection to the Math Study Center as she was a math tutor while a student here. She loves being back at BYU Idaho and Rexburg holds a special place in her heart.
