Foundations Mathematics Requirement

How do I meet the university's Foundations math requirement?
There are several ways to meet the requirement.  To find out what category you fall under read the following questions.

Are you a transfer student from an accredited university?
If you are a transfer student and completed that university's general education math requirement (typically college algebra or calculus or quantitative reasoning) and that course was accepted as transferable credit, you have met the foundations math requirement for BYU-Idaho.

Did you take the AP Calculus exam, receive a three or higher and have the score sent to BYU-Idaho?           When your score is received and credit for calculus is added to your transcript, you will meet the Foundations math requirment.

Are you in a major that will require calculus or higher calculus-based course?
When you pass either FDMAT 112, MATH 119 or ECON 215,  you will meet the Foundations math requirement.

Are you in a major that does not require calculus or higher calculus-based course and will not complete FDMAT 112, MATH 119 or ECON 215?
The only way to meet the Foundations math requirement is to pass FDMAT 108.
