Test-out Options
Students who choose not to complete Foundations Math 108 may choose one of the following options to fulfill the Quantitative Reasoning requirement within the Foundations program:
- Successfully complete one of the following classes: Math 109, 110, or 112. Competency in basic probability & statistics and personal & family finances must also be demonstrated. To prove competency in basic probability & statistics, students must pass the Statistical Literacy Exam. To prove competency in personal & family finances, students must first pass the Financial Mathematics Exam. Students passing this examination will then need to complete the Provident Living Project. - Successfully complete one of the following classes: Math 221, 222, or 223. Competency in personal & family finances must also be demonstrated. To prove competency in personal & family finances, students must first pass the Financial Mathematics Exam. Students passing this examination will then need to complete the Provident Living Project.
