Brother DJ Teichert, of the Academic Support Centers, has recently completed filming and editing of new study skills videos. Brother Teichert, who teaches courses such as study skills and college success, has now helped put together over 20 two-minute videos focused on helping students a BYU-Idaho be more successful in their studies. He has also help create 10 additional videos, which he calls, "Study Skills Mini-Lessons," that range from about eight to 13 minutes.
Above All Else: Here at BYU-Idaho, we should search diligently for truth in all the places it is found, but above all else, search the Lord.
Drowning In Your Studies: An informational video about the help available to students who may be struggling to "keep their heads above the water."
Keep Your Line In The Water: How long students "have their lines in the water," is more important than how long they are away from home.
Look Before You Leap: This video gives tips to those students who struggle comprehending what they have read in textbooks by teaching about surveying and summarizing before and after reading.
Mental Vacation: This video encourages and offers tips to students who struggle focusing while they are in class or studying.
The entire library of the study skills videos can be found at this website.
