This semester, the Research & Creative Works Conference will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013. It will mark the first time the R&CW Conference has been held during the Spring Semester.
All faculty and students who are invited to attend the conference from 2:00-5:00 pm.
Project and poster displays will be located in the MC Grand Ballroom and attendees are invited to come and go as they please. Oral sessions will be located in the both the Manwaring Center and the Taylor Building. Those who wish to attend an oral presentation are asked to stay for the duration of the session.
According to R&CW Conference Manager Jarom Robertson, there were a record number of submissions this semester. "We had originally thought there would be fewer submissions this semester, but we actually had over 200 (submissions) come in. The response we've been receiving from students and faculty members alike is incredible."
Bridget Lundy, the R&CW Faculty Support Specialist, said that the R&CW Conference also has received an "enormous amount of support from the faculty." She said, "We have the greatest amount of faculty members helping with judging and mentoring that we've ever had. This conference really has the chance to realize its full potential when faculty members step up and volunteer the way they have this semester."
