At the recent Dean & Department Chair Retreat, held on Thursday, October 04, faculty representatives received direction from Academic Vice President, Fenton Broadhead, and discussed administrative issues with members of the academic office.
The retreat started with opening statements by Fenton Broadhead. Brother Broadhead's shared a vision of innovation through four points: Collaboration, Analytics, the Alignment of Resources, and Inspiration.
Following Brother Broadhead's statements, the agenda included presentations from various on campus leaders. Ed Sexton announced a change regarding the number of foundations courses a first semester freshman can take. Brother Sexton also discussed tying outcomes and assessments to stewardship review. Guy Hollingsworth started the next presentation, which covered student connections, what is being done to help students with low ACT scores, a new Learning Model ad campaign, and EPS. The final presenter was Larry Thurgood, who spoke about modes of delivery and online learning definitions.
The retreat concluded with a summary and a Q & A session with Brother Broadhead.
