The BYU-Idaho Faculty Conference is an annual forum for academic dialogue where instructors from every discipline exchange developed ideas about the craft of teaching at this unique university. The conference is sponsored by the Dialogue Committee and committee chair, Tom Rane.
This year's conference will be held on September 5, 2012, and will begin in the Hinckley Chapel at 9:00 am.
The keynote address, which traditionally begins the conference, will be given by Ann Marie Harmon, Mathematics Department Chair. Then, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, faculty presenters from across campus will share their distinctive insights based on the conference theme of, "Scholarship of Learning and Teaching." For more information you can view the conference schedule.
New to this year's conference will be afternoon excursions. Starting at 1:00 pm, interested faculty will have the opportunity to participate in activities that include a Rafting Trip, an Art Gallery Tour, a trip to the BYU-I Ropes Course, or a Teton Dam Flood Excursion.
