Faculty member, Richard Pieper, shared a recent experience he had working with his Teaching Assistant. By effectively communicating with his assistant and being open to change, they were able to find a way to make students' course work less confusing, while lightening his own work load.

Teaching Assistants can be a great assistance to faculty. Faculty members can apply now for a Specialized Teaching Assistant for the fall semester by completing a form on this page. Upon approval, the student assistants will be hired through the faculty member's department. Once the application has been approved, the Academic Office will transfer the approved amount into the department account.
