The Winter 2013 Research & Creative Works Conference provided a record number of students with an opportunity to showcase their original works and research. There were 360 student participants with a total of 193 submissions. With continual encouragement from faculty, the number of student participants has grown each semester.

"The conference was a huge success in no small part due to the faculty support we received," said Skyler Hebdon, a member of the R&CW Conference Staff. "The level of support from our judges and mentors is what really pushed this conference to new heights."

The R&CW Conference had 54 faculty judges and 76 faculty advisors.

Aside from the opportunities to do research and other demanding projects under the guidance of a faculty advisor, students also received valuable feedback from the participating judges.

"The feedback our judges provide to participants gives them direction in pursuing future projects, as well as development to progress academically and professionally."
