James J. Davis Memorial Scholarship for Students Studying Abroad
The Kymanox mission is to facilitate effective and efficient knowledge transfer. James J. Davis taught us that there are few things as effective in transferring knowledge as experience. The goal of these funds is to encourage students to study abroad and experience something new to grow their knowledge of the world.Qualifications
The recipient must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident and an undergraduate student enrolled in a full academic year study abroad program at an accredited university. Students abroad for less than eight weeks will not be considered. Strong preference will be given to students with financial need. Preference will be given to students studying in a non-English speaking country and to those students majoring in Engineering, Math or Science.
Amount of Award
One award of $1,000.
Length of Award
The student's enrollment in the study abroad program can begin prior to awarding of scholarship funds, but the program cannot end on or before the scheduled award date.

Completed scholarship application includes a copy of acceptance letter to the specific study abroad program, a completed financial needs verification form (completed by your financial aid administrator), and an original 250-750 word essay answering the question, "What do you hope to gain by studying abroad?"
