Sweden Study Abroad (BYU)

This is an international study program provided by BYU. The option to participate has also been extended to BYU-Idaho students. Please contact the program director to inquire after logistics of participation such as costs, courses, and application.

Description

We are pleased to announce that the Scandinavian Program at BYU, Provo is is running a Sweden Study Abroad program this summer that is open to all students, both for those wishing to know more about Sweden and Swedish as well as for those who already speak Swedish and want to broaden their experience with the land, language, and culture. This is a great opportunity either for those with interest in Sweden for heritage reason or for those enamored with things Nordic. All students will take a Swedish course appropriate to their level, and there is even an option for returned Swedish missionaries to take a class that will allow them to take the Swedish challenge exam and earn an additional 16-hours of graded credit. In addition to the language class, students will enroll in a Swedish cultural history class that will focus on the historical root and development of modern Scandinavian design.
