Getting Started
Please follow these instructions to ensure proper application procedure. Students who fail to follow these instructions may not be accepted into the program.

APPLY TO UNIVERSITY
Prospective students must apply to the univeristy
NOTE: Please put Fall/Winter as your first choice of desired tracks and Spring/Fall as your second due to the fact that Interior Design is only offered on those two tracks. Winter/Spring tracks can be changed if necessary, however a petition to the Admissions Office is required after acceptance to the Interior Design program.

APPLY TO THE INTERIOR DESIGN PROGRAM
Applicants must apply to the Interior Design program seperately from applying to BYU-I. Students may fill out application prior to acceptance to university. To do so, complete the Interior Design application and return it by March 1 to:Interior Design Department

NOTE: This is a tightly sequenced program which requires close adherence to the prescribed course registration schedule. It is not possible to reduce the eight required semesters due to the sequential courses. On-line courses and Fast Track are not available.

PLAN YOUR CLASS SCHEDULE
Because each Interior Design class builds upon its previous one, it is required that classes be taken in a specific order. This ensures that the student completes all requirements for graduation in the appropriate time frame. The following link outlines the recommended, semester-by-semester order to take classes.
