Introduction

The process of copying a VHS tape directly to a DVD using one of the the two DVD recorders that are present in the lab is a very simple process, and we will try to explain step by step how it is done.

The first step is to gather all the materials needed to accomplish this task.

  1. Locate the Tape you wish to copy
  2. Locate a 4x Recordable DVD
  3. Find a DVD Recorder that is not currently in use

For the purpose of this demonstration we will be using the Panasonic DMR-E75V Recorder. However, the methods used for the two recorders are very similar in many ways. Also, it is extremely important to make sure that the Disc used is 4x. It is the only media that is recognizable to the recorder.
