Over Thanksgiving break, keypads on doors with electronic locks will be deactivated. This means that after Thanksgiving break, student and full-time employees who regularly use these doorways will not be able to type in their I-Numbers to gain entry to these rooms.

In order to avoid being locked out of electronically-secured rooms, full-time and student employees should make sure to have their I-Cards with them at all times.

Additionally, once the lock changes are implemented, proximity - or "prox" - cards will be the only cards accepted for entry into secured rooms. Prox cards are "contactless" cards that do not need to be swiped in order for their holder to gain entry to a room. To get a prox card, visit the Bursar's office.
