Productive technology is an important part of your education and your educational experience. As you prepare to access your I-Learn course(s) on a computer or other technology device, you will want to ensure it meets the standards outlined below.

Attention

  • Academic departments may have additional requirements or standards associated with a course or specific major. Contact your department for additional information.
  • Mobile devices including iPad, iPhone, iPod, Android phones, and other tablets do not meet the minimum requirements needed for a productive educational experience in I-Learn. Not all I-Learn pages are designed for mobile use.

Hardware

Is my computer too old?

We recommend you use a computer that is less than 3 years old. However, if your computer is older, please make sure that it meets all I-Learn Computer Standards.

How much processing power (CPU) does my computer need?

We recommend you use 2.0 GHz dual core or greater.

How much memory or RAM does my computer need?

We recommend you have 4GB or greater. Check your RAM: Windows or Mac

How much available hard drive space should be on my computer?

We recommend a minimum of 20GB of free space.

What should my monitor resolution be?

We recommend 1024x768 or greater.

Do I need speakers, headphones, or microphones?

We recommend you have access to speakers, headphones, and a microphone.
