Occasionally, you may receive a message stating “Error: Not Authorized” after attempting to send an email. Don’t panic! This issue is almost always caused because you have an incomplete quiz or exam in I-Learn. The solution is easy and simple.
 

  1. First, access I-Learn and look for the “Update Alerts” icon, which is located at the top of the screen. It can be found on the same row as your name. Often times, there is a red dot on the icon.
  2. Click the icon.
  3. There may be a message that states, “You must complete the following quizzes for alerts to be enabled. Selected the incomplete quiz or exam listed and click “Complete Quiz” to finish and submit the quiz.

Note: This issue is relevant to both students and faculty. Be sure to complete the quiz even if you were the creator.
