The University Resources portfolio supports initiatives of both the University Resources Vice President and the Advancement Vice President. I.T. Core provides much of the resources that this portfolio utilizes to support needs outisde of the students and academics portfolio. Our biggest services include technological support to the Alumni Office, Financial Services, Human Resources, Internal Auditing, University Operations, University Relations and University Services.
The Digital Asset Management Program is an IT effort to coordinate a collection of projects for providing better accessibility, discoverability, and reusability of digital assets at BYU-Idaho. One major piece of this program is Equella-a digital content repository designed to store and deliver content such as PDFs, images, Microsoft office documents, etc. Employees can get started by logging into content.byui.edu, or you can contact the Faculty Technology Center for assistance and training.
Another major component of this program is Kaltura-an online platform for video on demand. Employees can use Kaltura to share video or audio content for academic, promotional, or administrative needs. Go to video.byui.edu to get started or contact Luke Hale in AV Productions.
