When you log into your account after two-factor authentication is implemented, you will be prompted to choose which authentication method you would like to use – push notification, phone call, text message, or a passcode. If you do not have a smartphone, or perhaps a mobile phone at all, you may opt to use a phone call to a landline or SMS (text) passcodes through a mobile phone as your second method of authentication.

Via Landline Phone Call

  1. Log into your BYU-Idaho account.

  2. You will be taken to the authentication method selection window. Select the box next to Remember me for 30 days.

  3. Select Call Me.

You will now receive a phone call asking you to verify that you are the person who is currently trying to access your account. Follow the instructions you receive over the phone.
