As a retiree of BYU-Idaho, there are many University benefits that are available to you. These benefits are outlined below:

  • * Bookstore Discount: The University Bookstore continues to offer a 10% discount on all purchases (excluding certain items such as scriptures and textbooks; also does not include computer software items).

  • * Cell Phone: You may keep your cell phone plan through the University. A billing statement will be mailed to your home on a monthly basis.

  • * Email: If you wish to keep your BYU-Idaho email account active, please make this request through Information Technology at 496-1070. The email account can be accessed via the internet at http://mail.byui.edu/.

  • * I-Card: The BYU-Idaho ID card allows you to charge purchases made at the Bookstore or Food Services to your personal account. Discount tickets to campus events, access to the Hart Fitness Center, and library privileges are also available by using your I-Card. (Please exchange your employee card for a retiree card at the ID Center, MC 162.)

  • * Media Services: Equipment, videos, and DVDs are available to be checked out at no charge.

  • * News and Notes: The weekly News and Notes may be mailed to your home by making a request to the University Relations Office at 496-1150.

  • * Parking Permit: A parking permit allows you to park in campus parking.

  • * Personal Account: You may continue to have charges made to your personal account. The Accounting Office will send a monthly statement to your home (including cell phone charges).

  • * Tuition Waiver: You and your immediate family members are eligible to receive tuition waiver benefits. This benefit covers all credit classes offered through BYU-Idaho and certain non-credit classes. Class fees are not covered.
