If a student threatens or attempts suicide, Managers should immediately report this information to the Student Honor Office. Managers may also need to call the Security and Safety Office to request an officer’s assistance if they feel that the student is in immediate danger. Once the incident is reported, the Behavioral Assessment Response Council (BARC) will be mobilized. The council consists of the Housing and Student Living Director, the Well Being Managing Director, and administrators from the Student Honor Office and the Counseling Center. BARC will determine the best course of action for the student. Students should never conduct "suicide watches" for other students.
