How Contracts are Sold
Contracts are sold by the semester, block, or break only. Students who wish to live in on-campus housing for their full track assignment will need to purchase two separate contracts. For example, if a student is assigned the Fall / Winter Track assignment, they will need to purchase a Fall contract and a Winter contract separately.
Selling your contract
Students can post their contract for sale online. If a student's account has already been charged with a payment, please call the Housing and Student Living Office to have the contract status adjusted. The contract can then be posted for sale. Students should also post their contract for sale on the BYU-Idaho Bulletin Board.
Internet Service
The internet service provided to students living in On-Campus Single Student Housing and University Village is the same service that is used throughout campus. Restrictions are placed on certain resources to insure that bandwidth is used for academic needs by students campus wide. These restrictions include some online gaming. There is also a gaming block that is in place from 8am - 5pm Monday - Friday. Games such as League of Legends, World of Warcraft, Minecraft, StarCraft, Diablo, and any game using Steam, just to name a few, are not available on the campus network at any time.
Devices that connect to the network wirelessly (Wii, Play Station, X Box, Blu-ray, TV's, etc.) are currently not supported.
Priority Date
Students who have a current contract with On-Campus Housing will be allowed to purchase a contract for a given semester up until the priority date. The priority date listed below is the first day that the contracts are available to all eligible students.
