Availability is determined about halfway through the preceding semester. Current tenants are contacted to confirm their contract end date and are given two weeks to respond. Once the number of apartments that will become available at the end of the semester is determined, waiting list students will be contacted by e-mail to be offered an opening.
Upon reply from waiting list students, contracting will require a $175 deposit to secure their apartment which may also be taken with VISA or MasterCard over the phone. Contracts may be created based on availability and student preference, such as preferring a third-floor apartment to a second-floor apartment.
Typically, the waiting list is contacted in segments. For example, if there are fifteen apartments available, the first twenty students on the waiting list may be contacted at the same time and apartments will be given on a first-come-first-serve basis. After 24 hours, the next segment of the waiting list will be contacted. We recommend that you watch your e-mail closely to be able to respond quickly.
