Mediation Services Process
1. Talk with the current manager regarding the concern.
2. When a resolution cannot be found, continue as indicated below:
Completely fill out a mediation form (print a form from your browser or pick one up in
the Housing Office) with detailed information about the situation, and what has and has
not been done to resolve the concern.
Gather the contract and other documentation that may be pertinent to the situation.
Call the BYU-Idaho Housing Office to set up an appointment to meet with a housing
facilitator (208-496-1045). Please bring all the information to the appointment.
* Due to the natural conflict of interest between owners and tenants, disputes and misunderstandings will sometimes arise. The Housing Office believes that problems can be resolved if both parties will negotiate and reason one with another. Owners and students are, therefore, encouraged to try to solve problems face-to-face on their own.
