Are BYU-Idaho student-families allowed to live in approved housing? |
|
No. Approved Housing is only for single, degree-seeking students that are assigned to a track. The Approved Housing complexes are inspected, and they keep their approval status by maintaining standards set by the university. Housing complexes that rent to families are privately owned and do not receive official approval from the BYU-Idaho Housing Office.

How often is the web page that lists all community housing updated? |
|
The family housing lists are updated when apartment complexes contact us with new information.

Look for rentals listed on the BYU-Idaho Bulletin Board (online). Check the Standard Journal to find apartments and houses for rent. Continue to call ads posted on this website as well. |
What is subsidized housing and how does one qualify? |

Subsidized housing is government housing where rent is based on income and family size. There are a variety of subsidized housing complexes around the community. Check with the complexes listed on our site to find out what qualifications are required. Follow this link to the Subsidized Housing Page for a list of many of the subsidized housing complexes in the Rexburg area.
