Welcome to the Department of Home and Family 

The department of Home of Family has the highest commitment to excellence. We teach the importance of the traditional home and family as outlined in The Family: A Proclamation to the World as set forth by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. We offer experiential classes, professional societies, internships, student teaching placements, and child lab facilities to prepare students to teach, serve, and advocate for children, family, and the home.

 

 

Preschool Lab Observation Hours

The observation booth for the preschools labs is open during the following times:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:20 - 10:30 am
  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 1:20- 3:30 pm

 

Emma's Kitchen is Open!

Emma's Kitchen is located on the thrid floor of the Clarke building in room 341. Emma's serves soups, sandwiches, salads, and various other items. Please come and supprt our students! Hours of operation for Winter semester are:

  • Tuesday and Thursday, 11:30- 1:30.

Family and Child Advocacy Society Career Workshop

March 17th at 5:00 the FCAS will host a career workshop with guest speakers from various Child Services.  The meeting will be held in Clarke 317.  All majors or interested students are welcome to attend.  For more information about the society, see our web page.
