Children learn in many different ways. Usually it is in a classroom with a set lesson plan the teacher goes through on a daily basis. But what if there was a lesson plan that depended on the weather or what was around the area? Would the effect be the same? That is what some educators are trying to find out.
Betty McQuain, Elle Roelofs and Mike Godfrey collaborated to design a course at BYU-Idaho for preschoolers to learn in an outdoor environment.Roelofs came to the Child Labs department and offered her services in the child labs to help develop a nature education course for BYU-Idaho.
