I-Learn Naming Practices
In specific locations within I-Learn you will see a message similar to this:
To ensure your documents are readable by the instructor, be sure to only use alphanumeric characters. This includes all letters and numbers.
Avoid using these special characters in a document name or item title:
# , " ' % & < > + * ^ @ =
Also, avoid using spaces.
When Naming Assignments
A good naming practice for assignments you turn in through the Digital Dropbox or the assignment tool is using your name and assignment name in the title:
An example:
If your name is John Smith and you are turning in a History Civil War paper, use smithjcivilwar.doc
Following these practices will help ensure that your instructor can open, identify your assignment, and give you a grade.
