Academic Catalogs

Use the online Academic Catalogs to find information about departments, programs, degrees, and courses.  This link can be found in the Quick Links section of the Home Page, in the Site Index, in the blue Site Navigation menus, and other places.  The catalog for the current and several previous academic years is provided.

 

Class Schedule

Use the Class Schedule to find information about courses offered in the current semester and the next upcoming semester.  This link can be found in the Quick Links section of the Home Page, in the Site Index, in the blue Site Navigation Bar menus, and other places.

 

Directories

The Directories link on the blue Site Navigation Bar, on the top of most BYU-Idaho web pages, is a drop-down list of specific links for finding information, including Campus (organizations), Colleges/Departments, Employees, General Contact Information, Map of Campus, Organizational Chart, QwestDEX Phonebook (area phone book), and Students.  

 

Drop-down menus

The blue Site Navigation Bar and the tan Section Navigation Bar used on most BYU-Idaho web pages include drop-down menus of categories and links to the most used web pages on the site.

 

Home Page Quick Links

The links included in the Home Page Quick Links area are provided to assist you in easily finding some of the most often used web pages on the web site.

 

Search 

Use the Search to find links on the Site Index and to search all web pages in the site.  This link can be found in the lower area of the Home Page and in the Help Center.

 

Site Index

This a text page list of all links included in Site Navigation Bar and the Text Navigation Pages.  All significant links should be on this page. This link can be found in the lower area of the Home Page and in the Help Center.

 

Student Portal Customized Link Lists

Students have the ability to add links to a customized link list in your my.byui.edu portal on the “Links” tab under “My Favorites”.  This allows you to build a list of links based on your own interests and use.

 

Student Portal Link Lists

Students have access to a list of information and links unique to you on the “BYU-Idaho Essentials” tab, and also to a list of “My Secure Links” on the “Links” tab.

 

Text Navigation Pages

These pages include the same links as those in the corresponding drop-down menus from the Site Navigation Bar.  This makes it possible to access these links from browsers not compatible with the navigation bar technology and from screen readers for the visually impaired.

 

Web Addresses

Web Addresses on the BYU-Idaho Web Site are intentionally designed to be short and intuitive so they can be typed in the Address bar for direct access.  Following is a list of the four BYU-Idaho web sites, their web addresses, and instructions to access sites within them by adding folder names after the ending "/" slash:
