This feature automatically moves old items from your folders in Outlook to an archive folder on your local computer (C: drive).
Click on Tools, Options and then the Other tab. You will see the AutoArchive option.
Click AutoArchive.

Select how often you want archiving to take place, and set the other options to your preference. You can use AutoArchive to either move or delete old e-mail messages. If you choose to move them, enter C:\OLArchive.pst in the Move old items to: field.

You can click on Apply these settings to all folders now to activate AutoArchive on every folder in your mailbox (i.e. Inbox, Deleted Items, etc.), or you can read on for instructions on activating AutoArchive for individual folders.
Click on OK and then OK again to close the options.
If you chose to activate AutoArchive for individual folders, you need to do that now. If you can't see your folders, click View, Folder List then right-click on a folder and choose Properties.
Click the AutoArchive tab.
Simply select Archive items in this folder using the default settings and your messages will be archived with the settings you just gave. If you want custom settings for each folder, click on Archive this folder using these settings and fill in the form below. Click on OK.

Your archived e-mail messages will be saved in a file called OLArchive.pst on the C: drive of your local computer.
