You can use Microsoft Outlook to send a text message to a Byu-Idaho cell phone.

Choose File, New, Mail Message. On the To... line type the ten digit cell phone number followed by @sms.edgewireless.com as pictured below.

Click Send. Your recipient will see the subject line and the message you included.

Note: Text messages have a maximum length of 140 characters.
