Purchasing a BYU-Idaho recommended laptop provides unique benefits to the student. Primarily, the Help Desk will support on-site hardware repairs that are under warranty. Furthermore, students will be provided a loaner laptop, if necessary, during extended repairs. Many times it is advantageous to purchase an extended warranty through the University Store. Special Academic MS Office Suite pricing is also available for both Operating Systems through the University Store www.byuistore.com.

WiFi Alliance certified cards are highly recommended, since there are many cards on the market that do not conform to its standards. These recommended cards are a much better guarantee to obtain wireless access and assist the University in giving Help Desk support.
