Heber J. Grant Life Skills Course

Peer Facilitator Application

This application form is for all students interested in applying for an instructor position in the Heber J. Grant Life Skills Course for Winter 2010. Student are expected to put in 4-6 hours a week developing lesson plans and attending meetings related to the Heber J. Grant Program and Life Skills Course. Please submit your application no later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11, 2009. Interviews will take place on Saturday, November 14, 2009 at 9a.m.-12p.m.

Requirements

1. On track and a matriculated BYU-Idaho student for Wintetr 2010.
2. Completed no more than 129 cumulative credits.
3. BYU-Idaho cumulative GPA of 2.5 and no University restrictions.
4. Exemplary in living the BYU–Idaho Honor Code.
5. Attend and participate in trainings on November 21, December 5, and December 12, 2009 from 9-11 a.m.
6. Attend and participate in the Heber J. Grant Leadership Council Retreat January 8-9, 2009. (Mandatory)
7. Attend and facilitate class discussion on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. (Mandatory)
8. Attend the Leadership Council and Instructors Council meetings held Thursdays from 4:45-6:45 p.m. (Mandatory)
9. Attend other meetings such as Open and Closing Social, All Scholars meeting, Student Leadership Forum, etc.
