Physicians and Practitioners

 

Dr. Andrew Bradbury

Dr. Bradbury has recently joined us from the Pocatello Emergency Room. He is board certified in family practice and emergency medicine. Colonel Bradbury is the state surgeon and chief medical aviation officer of the Idaho Army National Guard and is the medical director for Bingham County Search and Rescue.

 

 

Christy Goodman, M.H.S. PA-C

Christy Goodman graduated from Ricks College in 2000, then proceeded to Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, finishing with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Science. She then went on to get her Master of Science Degree in Health Science as a certified Physician Assistant at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania, graduating in 2005. Training included general family medicine, pediatrics, gynecology, orthopedics, and general surgery. Christy spent a year working in Cardiology, treating both acute and longstanding heart patients as well as chronic disease processes, prior to joining the medical team at BYU-Idaho. Certifications include advanced cardiac life support and basic life support.

Christy is married to her high school sweetheart. They enjoy hiking, camping, biking, skiing as well as most outdoor activities.

 

 

Angie Hays MN RN FNP

Angie Hays earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing from Oregon Health Sciences University. She practiced as a nurse for 12 years in Operating rooms and Emergency Departments. She went on to earn a Masters degree in Nursing from Washington State University and was certified as a family nurse practitioner in 2006. Before joining the staff at the Brigham Young University Student Health Center, Angie practiced medicine at Rosemark Women's Care Specialists. Angie is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Trauma Emergency Assessment and Management (TEAM), and has received Chemical Weapons Warfare training.

 

 

Dave Holland, M.S.N., R.N., F.N.P.

Dave Holland graduated from Ricks College in 1984 then proceeded to Idaho State University where he received a bachelor's degree in nursing. He practiced as a registered nurse at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center for ten years in the emergency department, was certified as a trauma nurse, advanced cardio life support instructor, pediatric advanced life support instructor, and certified emergency nurse (CEN). He flew with Air Idaho Rescue for three years. Holland received a master's degree from Idaho State University in 1995 and is certified as a family nurse practitioner with 19 years of experience in health care. He is a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.

Holland and his wife Kierstin have three boys. His hobbies are motorcycle riding, boating, snowmobiling, and general outside activities.

 

 

Dr. Jud Miller, Physician
Dr. Jud Miller is a graduate of Ricks College, Brigham Young University, the University of Colorado Medical School, and the Family Practice Residency of Southwest Idaho. He worked at the Rexburg Medical Center for twelve years prior to joining the medical team at the Student Health Center in 1994. He continues to work as one of the physicians that staffs the emergency room at Madison Memorial Hospital.

Dr. Miller is married to his sweetheart Catherine. They have five great children (all married), and five grandchildren. He enjoys reading, canoeing, horseback riding, and most outdoor activities.

 

 

Lori Parker, RN, BSN, MSN, FNP-c

Lori Parker graduated in 1987 from Idaho State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She has had 20 years experience as a registered nurse in a variety of patient settings including medical/surgical, open-heart intensive care unit, trauma intensive care unit, and recovery room. She is certified in basic as well as advanced cardiac life support.

Lori then proceeded to obtain a Master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis in family nurse practitioner, graduating in 2004. Since graduating as a nurse practitioner, Lori has worked at the BYUI student health center and at the Ashton Medical Clinic in Ashton, ID.

Lori’s clinical strengths include women’s health and insulin resistance/pre-diabetes. She has been trained in general family health and can treat all age groups. Lori shows interest in her individual patients and enjoys teaching them about their health.

Lori is married and resides in Rigby, ID. She enjoys being outdoors, skiing, boating, fishing, and gardening.

 

 

Dr. Hans Redd

Hans Redd, D.M.D., joined the medical staff at BYU-Idaho in 2002. He received his bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and his medical degree (M.D.) from the University of Utah. He completed his residency training in Indiana where he specialized in pediatrics and internal medicine. He has additional experience in emergency medicine.

Dr. Redd previously worked in a private practice in St. Anthony, Idaho, and at the Rigby Family Medical Center in Rigby, Idaho. He is an accredited physician at Madison Memorial Hospital.

A native of Salt Lake City, Utah, Dr. Redd served in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission. He and his wife Lisa have eight children. His personal interests include music, running, hiking, scuba diving, hobby farming, and log cabins.

 

 

Nurses

 

Tiffany Paepke, R.N.

Tiffany Paepke, RN, received dual degrees from Ricks College in women’s physical education and in nursing. She worked as a surgical nurse first at Madison Hospital as a medical surgical nurse and then at Bannock Regional Medical Center on the surgical floor and as the afternoon charge nurse in same-day surgery. Her skills were further refined through nine years in the clinical environment of the Rexburg Medical Center with Dr. Corey Rammell, Rigby Medical Center with Dr. Hyrum Blackburn, and Rigby Family Medical Center/Community Care with Dr. Bryan Hammar. She most recently assisted in opening Madison Memorials Outpatient Specialty Clinic with Dr. Ann Reynolds. Tiffany enjoys fly fishing, biking, hiking, camping, photography, sports, and spending time with her three children: Michael, Daniel, and Sarah.

 

 

 

Marilyn Walker, R.N.

Marilyn Walker is a registered nurse.  She graduated from the Ricks College nursing program in 1980 and has worked as a medical/surgical nurse and an emergency room nurse ever since.  She currently works regular shifts at the Madison Memorial Hospital Emergency Department in addition to her regular shifts here at the Student Health Center.  Marilyn is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and is Trauma Nurse Core Course Certified.  She enjoys homemaking and has 5 children.

 

Staff

 

Shawn Andreasen

Shawn Andreasen, Pharm.D., R.Ph., became a member of the BYU-Idaho Health Center team in December 2004. He graduated from pharmacy school at Idaho State University in May 2003. He then moved to Clinton, Utah, where he worked as a pharmacist for Albertsons in Ogden. Shawn received his bachelor's degree in Microbiology at BYU in Provo.

Shawn is originally from St. Anthony, Idaho and feels right at home here in Rexburg. He and his wife DeAnn have been married for eight years now, have two boys, and enjoy spending time together as a family.

Shawn served a Spanish-speaking mission in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He loves working outside in his yard getting his hands dirty, gardening, jogging, the outdoors, reading, and traveling.

 

 

Ruth Clark
Ruth Clark was born and raised in Rexburg to Clayne and Shirley Klingler, the oldest of five children. I graduated from Madison High School. I started working for Dr. M.F. Rigby as office assistant/ receptionist. I worked for him from June 1973 until June of 1976 at which time the Teton Dam broke and he retired. In January of l978 I started working for Madison Memorial Hospital as a Transcriptionist in medical records. I did that until September of 1987 at which time I changed departments and was a Unit Secretary until April of l994 at which time I left. I have also filled in for several doctors offices through the years. In March of 1994 I started working part time at the Ricks College Student Health Center and in August of 1999 was hired as a full time employee. I have worked in the medical field for 31 years.

I am married to Rick and have five wonderful children, four boys and a daughter. We have 5 grandchildren, four grandsons and one granddaughter. I enjoy spending time with my family, serving others, cooking, camping and love the mountains.

 

 

Loraine Cziep

Lorraine Cziep, MT (ASCP), graduated from Ricks College before attending BYU where she received a bachelor of science degree in microbiology and chemistry. She did an internship in medical technology at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. After passing the national registry she worked as a medical technologist for 13 years at Madison Memorial Hospital. While at MMH she was responsible for the microbiology department and worked in chemistry, hematology, serology, and blood bank areas as well. She has been working in the laboratory at the Student Health Center since 1990. She enjoys laboratory medicine.

Lorraine and her husband, Gary, live in Menan, Idaho. They have 4 children and 7 grandchildren. Her hobbies include scuba diving, underwater photography, hiking, cooking, playing in a steel drum band, and visiting her grandchildren.

 

 

Lisa Nelson

Lisa Nelson graduated from Ricks College with an associate degree in health science and from Idaho State University with a bachelor� degree in radiographic science. She has worked in the hospital setting doing many different modalities; basic radiographic procedures, surgeries, CTs, mammograms, nuclear medicine, and MRIs for 13 years. She joined the medical staff at the Student Health Center in 1996.

Nelson and her husband of over 20 years live now in Newdale, Idaho. Her enjoyments are traveling, scuba diving, reading, gardening and woodworking.
