The BYU-Idaho PTA program operates on a 1+1 schedule. This means that students must complete at least 2 semesters of pre-requisite courses before they apply. After a student is accepted and enrolled in the PTA program, they complete 1 more entire year (4 semesters) of training to finish the degree.
The table below shows the pre-requisite courses that must be completed prior to admittance into the program. We do not require that these courses be taken in this exact order. However, all courses listed below must be completed by the end of the spring semester to apply for Fall. If you are an earlier calendar year at BYU-I, previous Religion & English courses may be numbered differently but will still be accepted.
