To improve the health and well-being of BYU-Idaho employee’s lives through health education and activities that will support positive lifestyle change thereby resulting in improved employee productivity and morale.
The average BYU-Idaho employee spends about fifty percent of their waking hours at work. Consequently, departments need an active wellness program to help employees achieve a higher state of well-being.
As part of this program, college employees will be given monthly information and incentive activities to promote wellness. The information will be conveyed through emails to a department or college secretary who will be responsible for sending it to each employee. At the end of every month, the results will be reported to a secretary and then passed on to the Wellness Coordinator.
Involvement is voluntary. However, all part-time and full-time employees will be invited to participate and will be included in potential incentives based on participation. The college would be responsible for providing their own specific incentives for participants. (i.e. t-shirts, basket of fruit, etc.)
